Synopsis
The daily routine, the concreteness of a life that leaves no room for imagination, the frenetic city that forces you to run along pre-established tracks.
One feels alone, caged, inside something from which it is difficult to escape.
All this gives rise to a spontaneous question: what can I do?
And the moment you decide to ask yourself this question and stop, imagination arrives.
At first, it is just the hint of an image, but as you see it, it becomes a world, a fantasy world where reality can be overturned and where anything is possible.
A world of animated objects in constant transformation.
A magical world.
A world of poetry.
A world where fun and balance mix.
A world where words can come to life.
A world where amazement is a must.
Fantasy is a world where our protagonists can experience incredible adventures and discover that the ability to change things lies within each of us; we just need to listen to the breath of imagination.
La Nuova Fantasia. A journey freely inspired by Bruno Munari stems from the desire, which becomes almost a challenge, to bring this highly important author together with one of the few artistic languages not used and experimented with in his work: theatre.
The research was based on an in-depth analysis of Munari’s work, his approach to the world of art and teaching, but above all an analysis of the creative process that gave rise to each of his works. Retracing the four stages of imagination conceived by Munari – invention, fantasy, creativity, imagination – the project will recreate a new creative process, where the body becomes a brush, the voice a world to be discovered, the text a futurist lasso, the drawing a narrative tool, and a sphere a character that will tell incredible stories.
