Synopsis
‘What are you looking for, painter?’
‘I’m looking for white.’
‘But painter, the painting is all white… what are you saying?’
‘I want to see what’s inside the white!’
‘Painter, inside the white there is light, and inside the light there are colours!’
And so the colours begin to move, the space begins to fill with spots, marks, shapes, figures.
These are the thoughts of an invisible child who shows the old painter not what to do, but what to experience.
The most cherished affections. Nature and its forms. Desires. Fears. Joys. Sadness and happiness. Good and evil.
The spontaneous thoughts of childhood are combined with the lived reflections of old age, and between them the art of painting, the brushes, the material, the confusion that becomes harmony.
This opens up a path that at a certain point unites in a shared moment, like scribbling together on a piece of paper and turning it into a sign that communicates with the world.
