On September 5, 2025, in Naples, our artistic director Maria Giulia Campioli was elected President of ASSITEJ Italy for the term 2026–2029.
This prestigious recognition highlights the trust placed in the work carried out over the years by Teatro al Quadrato, particularly through the programming of the festival.
ASSITEJ is a global organization founded in 1965 that brings together hundreds of theatres and artistic and cultural organizations within national centers in more than 80 countries.
ASSITEJ Italy, the national section of the worldwide network, was re-established in early 2014, inheriting the experience and history of ATIG – Associazione Italiana di Teatro per l’Infanzia e la Gioventù, founded in 1967. Its mission is to continue and renew its commitment to supporting theatre and artistic creation for children, young people, and families, developing new projects both nationally and internationally.
