“He in the office could only
file away skies
and photocopy rainbows”
(from Il libretto rozzo dei CCCP e CSI, 1998).
The guiding theme of Trallallero 2025 is: Wild.
An adjective – deliberately in the plural – that opens up possibilities, visions and interpretations. A word that guides our steps but leaves the path open.
Wild is the woods, the forest. Roots and branches that shape our landscape and invite us to lose ourselves in a natural breath.
But it is not the desolation of wild places. Wild is instinct and spontaneity. Sometimes it can be grumpy, yes, but also fragile, insecure, emotional and free.
It is this fragile and indomitable wonder of the imagination that we want to follow. Curiosity about what we do not know. Attraction to the unexpected. Encountering what is other than ourselves.
In the theatre, we become bodies and minds listening: side by side, suspended in a surprising story, in an unexpected sound, in a gesture that opens up unusual paths. Together, we seek the not yet known.
As in fairy tales, we set out to face the unknown and embark on an adventure, accepting the risk of not understanding, of making mistakes, of falling and perhaps getting a little hurt. Because a wild place is not inert: it is alive, present, and asks us to be alive in turn, if we want to discover rainbows where they seem not to exist.
