FANTASMA/AMLETO

This workshop on Shakespeare’s Hamlet explores the body and the voice, as its extension, through a dramaturgical focus that revolves around the generational question. From today’s adult world come demands and expectations, just as they did to Hamlet, who was asked by his father’s ghost: “If you have loved me enough, avenge my murder; the serpent that wears the crown has bitten my life; remember me, remember me…” This is the burden that will lead Hamlet to his death after going against his nature and living a life of inadequacy and guilt. The workshop will take place outdoors, in connection with the landscape: water, trees, sounds, lights.

Young artists under 35 from Friuli Venezia Giulia immersed themselves in a three-day masterclass on the world of theater for new generations. Relationships were at the heart of everything: knowing ourselves and others, being aware of the dynamics we establish with others, with the world around us, and how we “play” with conflicts.
