Synopsis
Gen-eration? Gen-der? Gen-eralisation? Gen-people?
A common root. A starting point.
In 2024, diversity education, the fight against gender stereotypes and the recognition of the various forms in which violence manifests itself are urgent issues that must be prioritised, especially at school age.
We have collected stories of different children, ordinary people. These are stories found in diaries written at night before going to bed, confided to a trusted friend or perhaps not told to anyone because the children are afraid to share them.
As in a roll of film, the actors and actresses enter and exit fragments of these lives, in different slices of everyday life: “innocent” locker room chatter, anger, fears, the first doubts of adolescence, relationships and the gender education imposed on us from an early age.
However, the representations of these fragments of life undergo a sort of “jam in reality” and become an abstraction of the reality they show: the game “one two three star” becomes a sort of travel diary of a girl’s growth from childhood to adulthood, a sports training session turns out to be a real education in “masculinity” and “femininity”, and an evening out becomes a catwalk where those who do not feel confident and comfortable in their own bodies are left behind.
Each story has one or more protagonists with an urgent need to express their awareness: sometimes confessed more quietly, almost like a confidence to the audience, other times danced and shouted like a cry of protest.
The pace is fast-paced; we enter and exit a story through rapid transitions, thanks to the bodies of the actors and actresses who, transforming themselves, become the main driving force on stage.
With a language that alternates between more realistic and more metaphorical moments, these intimate and individual stories become a social reflection.

SHOW NOMINATED FOR CRITICARE AD ARTE 2025
Collettivo Vento
Davide, Giacomo, Veronica and Alessandro met and joined forces after attending the Alessandra Galante Garrone theatre school in Bologna.
Together with other performers, in 2023 they founded Collettivo Vento, a theatre research and creation group that aims to bring together new and diverse contemporary artistic languages. They define themselves not only as actors but also as creators, as collective creation is their stylistic hallmark: each member is an actor, director and writer and, depending on their predispositions, plays one role more than another.
From an ideological and artistic point of view, the group takes as its reference the teachings of Cesar Brie and the pedagogy of Jaques Lecoq, while in terms of the contemporary scene, it draws inspiration from groups such as “Usine Baug”, “Badalam-b-syde”, “Alt-Ctrl-Canc” and “Compagnia Licia Lanera”.
They believe in a theatre that is political, human and, at the same time, poetic and imaginative. A theatre that is strongly anchored in the present and the crises of the contemporary world, but which at the same time leads people to imagine realities and worlds far removed from their everyday experiences.
They believe in a poor theatre, partly because they cannot do otherwise, but also because they want to rely on the narrative and metaphorical power of their bodies, their voices and little else, such as music and a few objects.
Finally, they believe in theatre outside theatres. In order to reach everyone indiscriminately, the first step is to leave the theatres. They want to bring theatre to schools, social spaces and squares and succeed in creating magic with and from nothing.
