Synopsis
The show unfolds along a stimulating interactive journey between the audience and actor and director Alvise Camozzi, who guides the performance. The responses and reflections of the young audience members drive the narrative progression of the encounter. The text of ANIMA BUONA is punctuated by fragments of theatrical texts and stories that are recited and sometimes even sung, involving the audience. The dramatic interludes fuel the circular dialogue, which gradually becomes a real debate on the topics presented.
Presentation
Anima Buona is a theatrical performance designed to introduce young people to the language of theatre through the dialectical, ironic and visionary universe of Bertolt Brecht. The project is based on three fundamental texts by the German playwright – The Good Woman of Szechwan, The Exception and the Rule, Round Heads and Pointed Heads – reworked into an accessible, interactive and dynamic form.
The protagonist of the show is the actor Alvise Camozzi, and the text was written jointly by Camozzi and theatre critic Leonardo Mello, who oversaw the dramaturgical structure and dialogue with the educational apparatus.
Objectives
To introduce young people to theatrical language in a participatory rather than passive form – To stimulate reflection on themes such as justice, identity, discrimination and humanity – To introduce young people to Brecht’s theatre as a critical and social tool – To offer an experience that combines content, emotion and participation
